Interior design trends will change all year round, thats always been the way, same with fashion, and will probably always be the way. Design bloggers have all been discussing which interior design trends they believe are going to be hot in 2014, and here’s what they have come up with:

Interchangeable Accents; Arianna Varga thinks we’ll be seeing a trend towards chameleon decor, instead of just setting on one fixed look. With a neutral base and then use big-impact accents.

Ushering in Glamour, Jeanine Hays believes will be seeing rooms with a lot more drama and glamour, with dark moody walls in black being the perfect backdrop to the metallic accessories.

Vintage Wonders, Lindsay Souza thinks that vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces will be highly sought after, making people’s homes stand out and seem different to all the rest.

Say Bye to Beige, Christian May believes that beige will no longer be a colour trend and that we could be finally moving on from that phase!

Blossoming Prints, Stacey Bewkes says that florals and chintz will be in, with these tried-and-true fabrics popping up everywhere; and for a modern look mix them with other graphic patterns.

Devon Dyer thinks that mixing and matching metallics such as silver and gold will be a definite trend this year!

A Need for Navy, Mark D. Sikes says that navy blue will be a big trend for 2014.

TImeless Design, a return to tradition is what Erin Gates believes will be in for 2014, after the long period of time of everyone having modern decor more people will feel more and ease and want to return to a more traditional style.

Innovative Combinations, lots and lots of layering, both materials and textures is what Jennifer Beek and Georgie Hambright believe will be in.

Paloma Contreras thinks a bevy of blues will be necessary, from rich saturated colours like navy and indigo to bright, vibrant shades.

Black and white is a classic home decor palette, but for 2014 Joanna Hawley believes we will see it softening and feeling more coxy.
